The Sunland/Tujunga Chamber was off to a great start this New Year! January proved to be a busy month for the Chamber as we enthusiastically welcomed new board members and bid farewell to Chamber friends that dedicated their time to improving our neighborhood. The Chamber’s annual installation at the Angeles National Golf Course did not disappoint as good times were had by all during the exuberant event! A special and warm thank you to all the attendees and generous sponsors for making the evening a complete success. Although the month was filled with fun activities and good times, members got down to business as we congregated at the executive committee and board meetings.

Though January’s activities seem hard to top, February promises more excitement as we get more community and local business involvement, starting with our monthly mixer at Sunland’s own The Back Door Bakery. This will take place on February 15 from 6pm to 8pm where friends are welcomed to join us as we feast on delectable desserts, artisan breads and other treats. Patrons are also encouraged to try their luck with our raffle where lucky winners will walk away with prizes such as gift certificates to local restaurants or a lovely gift basket. Chamber members, committee members as well as the locals that help make our businesses great are encouraged to welcome our area’s newest hangout spot, Link N Hops, to our neighborhood. Unique flavors and craft beers flowed throughout the establishment during their opening night as new friends were made and old friends reacquainted.

Our Chamber members continuously work diligently to bring awareness and fun to our Sunland/Tujunga family. The Spring Carnival will once again take place this year in Sunland Park on April 14th, 15th and 16th. Chair Kresse Armour has already begun to schedule weekly meetings to ensure that this year’s Spring Carnival is one that our city residents will be talking about for years to come! We will be bringing some thrilling rides, the best entertainment, the tastiest food and some awesome games to the event. We are working with the Parks and Rec department and collecting our permits and contracts. We also are in need of Sponsors and Booth Vendors to make it a great event for the children.

We look forward to a great year ahead, made Better Together.
